The 10th Annual Jeff Mann Memorial Sportsmanship Award will be presented to a coach of a team in this years tournament. Following the 2005 Montevideo Youth Basketball Tournament, Jeff Mann suffered a fatal heart attack. Jeff served as a volunteer youth coach and basketball tournament committee member for several years. Jeff had a passion for youth sports. He gave of his time and talent to coach both boys and girls youth basketball teams. His passion taught the kids more than just the game. He taught all players to respect the game, officials, teammates, and opponents, on and off the court. Jeff had the ability to challenge each player he coached, no matter his or her skill level. He was always challenging them to better themselves, not just as basketball players, but also as young men and women. Jeff touched many lives and he truly exemplified the spirit of what youth sports should be. It is with great respect that we honor our dear friend– Jeff Mann—by creating this Annual Jeff Mann Sportsmanship Award. Youth Tournament Committee
