Montgomery County Office Of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Tropical Storm Cindy makes landfall: Looks like we dodged the bullet • Cindy made landfall around 0400 in Louisiana between Cameron and Port Arthur. She is now inland and weakening. • We can expect unsettled weather through out the weekend with periods of rain as her remnants move past and a cool front enters the area this weekend. • All Tropical Storm Warnings are now cancelled for SE Texas. • While we were spared the brunt of this storm, our partners in LA, MS and AL suffered torrential rain that has flooded much of their coast. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Our weekend forecast

Montgomery County Office Of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Tropical Storm Cindy makes landfall: Looks like we dodged the bullet As a reminder to all our partners: While we did not see major impact from Cindy, this was a great reminder for us to be ready for hurricane season over the next 4-5 months; with August and September being our historically most active months. Hopefully, this served as a catalyst to get us all geared up, dust off our plans, and get into the right mindset to move into the Hurricane Season of 2017. Thanks to all who reached out to us and prepared their agencies for this storm. We will continue to watch the Tropics and the Gulf and will be here with updates on the next one. Have a great weekend.
