Moorpark Little League Board Meeting December 13, 2017 Meeting called to order at 7:42 AttendeesRobin Hodge, Jon Conception, Mike Lucente, Mike Busickio, Brandi Mitchem, Roy, Oliver, Andrea Nevitt, Abel Santana, Tommy Luna and Nicki Sinutko Robin motions to approve updated minutes. Nicki seconds. All approve. 1. Registration Update167 players registered TBall- 34 players Machine Pitch-39 players Farm- 32 players Minors- 29 players Majors- 24 players Juniors- 9 players 2. Manager Applications- 14 applicants so far 3. Clinic WeekendPlayers Clinic- Saturday 12/16 10am -12pm @ MPLL Fields Will extend early bird registration for walk up registration. Board members will help Machine Pitch and T Ball kids with their skills. Lunch will be served on their way out. Coaches Clinic- Sunday 12/17 9am-12pm on the Moorpark High School Varsity Field. Managers, Assistant Managers, Coaches, Assistant Coaches and anyone that wants to help is welcome.
4. Safety Rules-
a. We are running background checks for any and all volunteers through Paul Russel. 5. Local RulesA. 50/70 rules will continue B. Ron will look into changing the machine pitch from 4 pitches to 3 pitches per Jon C. 6. District Meetinga. Umpire Rule and Mechanics Training will be in San Bernardino on 2/92/11. League will pay for up to 4 or 5 umpires. b. Attended the Sports Academy presentation. Robin will work on getting deals for the kids. c. Tournament of Champions discussed. First place Major and Juniors will play district 1st place teams. 7. Field Walk ThroughMachine Pitch Field turn field, replace base plugs, add bat holders in dugout, fix fences, keep a check sheet of what is needed after each game, buy rubber grommets, shade structure for T Ball, home plate covers for all fields. Minor B Field - pitching mound needs to be replaced, need new base anchors/inserts Need 90 degree hose connectors in each hole and purchase hose caddy’s Minor A Field -repaint cage, replace mesh, re-secure signs Majors Field -Bull pin mound needs to be replaced, fix center mesh, fill dirt, re-paint various areas, pressure wash, quote on building a fence on home side, look into pavers for around BBQ as well as having a service come and clean BBQ.
Snack Bar -fix latch door, fill hole by snack bar and get rid of chalkers. Junior Field - Net needs to be replaced and installed properly Farm Field - need to install shade on both visitor and home side and put a pad on back stop,
Misc - shed needs organizing -Robin proposed to get license for quick books for Abel if we can’t get the license transferred to him. All approved
