General Information Campers will not be allowed to leave campus without PERMISSION or SUPERVISION by a staff member. All swimming will be supervised with certified lifeguards on duty.

Coaches and counselors will stay with residential campers at night in the Concord University Dorms.

Location

The camp is held on the campus of Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, 6 miles north of Princeton, just off Rt. 20 and 15 miles from I-77 and Rt. 460.

Necessities for Week of July 27- 30 RESIDENT CAMPERS

(includes room and meals)

A camper planning to stay overnight should bring casual summer clothes, swim wear, complete practice outfits, socks, tennis shoes, towels, toiletries, pillow, linens for a twin bed, a blanket, and spending money.

COMMUTING CAMPERS (all meals except breakfast) • $185.00

Price includes meal ticket for lunch and dinner



Commuters will register on same day same time as residential campers Commuter Campers will be expected to report to their assigned gym at:

Morning Session • 9:00 am Afternoon Session • 1:00 pm Evening Session • 6:00 pm

ALL Campers will have the opportunity to swim until 9:30 pm. Evening sessions will be over between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Parents are always welcome.

Food & Lodging The campers will be in a dormitory with 2 persons per room. Preference for roommates may be indicated at registration.

The campers will be served meals in the dining room of CU’s Student Center.

Camp Facilities

The basketball camp will be held in the CU Carter Center. Two gymnasiums are located on the main level, as well as a swimming pool.

Arrival/Departure Campers should plan to arrive on the first day of camp at noon. Registration will take place in the lobby of the Carter Center between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. The first session will begin at 2:00 pm.

Camp Objectives • Instruction and team play will be according to age and experience of the individual. • Players will be thoroughly instructed in the fundamentals of basketball. • Team competition: a team will consist of up to 8 players • We will expect good sportsmanship at all times. • We think the game of basketball is fun and plan to play it that way.

Awards

Trophies are awarded in each group: Free Throw, Hot Shot, Knockout, League Champions, Heart & Hustle, Most Improved, Sportsmanship, Best Rebounder, Outstanding Camper, and MVP.
