Underwriters Laboratories listed for use on a flat surface of type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, and 13 enclosures.

1. COMPLETE OPERATOR ASSEMBLY 1.1 Remove operator, mounting adaptor, and rear-of-panel components from the packaging. 1.2 Remove retaining nut, making sure panel sealing gasket is properly placed over locating nib. 1.3 With locating nib on top, insert operator and gasket into mounting hole. Note: Panel must be notched. See drilling dimension sketch. Be sure nib is engaged into panel notch before securing retaining nut. If E30KM legend plates are required, assemble plates by engaging notch at each end under the operator corners before tightening the retaining nut. Octagonal wrench Cat No. E22CW can be used (maximum torque 15 lb-inch). 1.4 Place mounting adaptor with rear-of-panel components onto operator and move locking lever to locked position. Note: See sketch for mounting adaptor markings.

2. CONTACT BLOCKS OR LIGHT MODULES ASSEMBLY/REMOVAL 2.1 Contact blocks are assembled in the proper location to provide the required contact sequence. The contact block selection chart (page 4) explains mounting positions and the different circuit operation achieved. 2.2 To remove contact blocks, direct voltage, or resistor light modules: Apply pressure to top and bottom mounting clips and pull free of mounting adaptor. To remove transformer module, pressure must be applied to 4 mounting clips (2 top and 2 bottom) before pulling free. 2.3 To replace contact blocks, in position 1 or 2 (only) or on the rear of a transformer module: With markings on the outside of both positions, assemble block until it snaps into place. 2.4 Light modules use lamp extender and bayonet type (T3 1/4) lamp. Both can be inserted by pushing in and turning clockwise to lock into position. 2.5 To replace light modules: Be sure lamp and lamp extender are assembled. Transformer module - With printing facing left and lamp pointing towards operator, assemble module until it snaps into place.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS AND DIMENSIONS Direct voltage or resistor light module - With lamp pointing towards operator, assemble in position (3) until it snaps Into place.

4.2 With channel lock pliers, unscrew bezel (counterclockwise) and remove knob. (Note keyed position of knob)

NOTES: 1 Maximum of two contact blocks per selector switch. Do not assemble in position 3 (center position) 2 To identity cam types. Cam 1 has one peak. Cam 2 has two peaks. 3 When transformer light module is used, contact blocks are positioned to the rear of the transformer unit.

4.3 To remove bayonet type (T3 1/4) lamp, Push-in and turn counter-clockwise with lamp extractor tool E22BA3. 4.4 To insert new lamp ~ place lamp into opening and with lamp extractor tool (E22BA3) push-in and turn clockwise. 4.5 Re-assemble knob in correct keyed position and screw bezel clockwise until tight. (max. torque 20 lb. in.) 4.6 Re-assemble faceplate (sect. 3.1.)

3. FACEPLATE - ASSEMBLY/REMOVAL 3.1 To assemble, position faceplate over knob or key and press into operator. An audible snap will indicate the faceplate is securely in place. 3.2 To remove, locate slots molded in both sides and carefully pry loose. Special tool E30KV2 makes removal easier. 4. LAMP REPLACEMENT- FROM FRONT PANEL 4.1 Remove faceplate (sect. 3.2)
