INTRODUCTION Brake pads tend to wear down with use over time. Use this guide if you feel your brake pads have worn down enough that a replacement is necessary.

10mm Wrench (1)

Brake Shoes (2) set Brake shoes include the nut and washer while brake pads do not.

Step 1 — Brake Pad



Locate and remove the dome nut with a 10mm open-end wrench.

Inspect brake pad for wear.

Dome nut (left), lock washer (middle), and brake pad (right).

 Be sure to save the dome nut and lock washer just in case the replacement brake shoe does not include them.

Step 4



When installing the new brake shoe, make sure it is properly aligned so it is in full contact with the edge of the rim.
