My name is Justin Beachy and I will be entering into my first year at Alliance. I moved to Nashville in July to become the volunteer assistant coach at Lipscomb University after a short collegiate coaching post at Messiah College. I have been around volleyball my entire life. My dad has been a coach for as long as I can remember. Volleyball is one of my biggest passions in life. As a player, I was a 4-year starter at Carlisle High School where my father was my coach. I then went to Messiah College and played libero for 5 years on the club team. I graduated from Messiah with a math degree and then went back to earn my Master’s in collegiate athletics management so that I could pursue college coaching job. Because club volleyball allows for six years of eligibility, I was fortunate to play for five years before ending my career. In my last two seasons at Messiah, my team won the Division II Club National Championship. As a coach, I worked as my dad’s assistant varsity coach for 3 seasons at Carlisle. As I noted earlier, I was an assistant coach for the women’s team at Messiah for a year. This past club season I head coached Ballyhoo Volleyball Club’s 17s team based out of the Central Pennsylvania area. I’m thrilled to be a part of things at Alliance and anxiously await the start of the club season!
