ASUG Announces 2nd Annual Influencer Summit for Users of SAP® BusinessObjects™ Solutions Open Call for Nominations to Take Part in 2011 Influence Summit CHICAGO, Aug. 24, 2011 – The Americas‟ SAP Users‟ Group (ASUG), the world‟s largest independent community of SAP professionals, is now accepting nominations for participation in its second annual Influencer Summit, an exclusive opportunity to meet with ASUG members, influencers and SAP customers and executives to help shape future initiatives and determine the 2012 priorities for users of SAP BusinessObjects solutions. The Summit will reconvene those who took part in last year‟s standing room only launch event, while creating an opportunity for new participants. This year‟s Influencer Summit will take place Oct. 9, at the 2011 ASUG SAP BusinessObjects User Conference, which will be held Oct. 9-12 in Orlando. Nominations for the Influencer Summit are now open. “This is an important opportunity to come together again as a group of passionate, informed users who are committed to progress and improvement,” said Bridgette Chambers, ASUG CEO. “Influencers will have a chance to introduce their ideas and help frame our dialogue with SAP. Everyone that participates will see that tremendous progress has been made in the past year through this new level of collaboration we‟ve established between SAP executives and customers.” One outcome of the 2010 Influencer Summit was creation of a Strategic Special Interest Group (SIG) dedicated to the SAP BusinessObjects community. This year, in addition to identifying priorities for 2012, the Summit will include a presentation of workflow results achieved by the Strategic SIG in the four priority areas identified and delivered by customers directly to SAP at last year‟s Summit. Summit participants will address findings according to customer-defined criteria of community success. “Over the past year, the Strategic SIG has been instrumental in shaping the ASUG BusinessObjects community,” said Chambers. „They‟ve conducted webcasts, customer surveys, and hosted standing room only ASUG Lounge sessions at the 2011 Annual Conference. We will sustain that momentum in our 2011 Summit and are looking forward to working closely with the key influencers in the community to build on this success.” About the ASUG SAP BusinessObjects Influencer Summit The Influencer Summit will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 in the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando. A special reception will be held that evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Members of ASUG‟s Board of Directors and ASUG‟s BusinessObjects Ambassadors also will be in attendance. All SAP BusinessObjects users are invited to nominate the individuals they consider to be influencers. Nominees can be users of SAP BusinessObjects solutions or partners, ASUG members or volunteers, SAP mentors, or industry influencers such as bloggers and analysts.
