1.0 SCOPE 1.1
This specification covers the design, fabrication, and delivery of tubular steel arms for the support of 1351.5 AAC Columbine and 795 ACSR Coot conductors with 69kV and 23.9kV insulating devices.

Arm dimensions.
3.0 ARMS 3.1
Arm dimensions are specified on latest version of LSK-1116. Through holes shall be drilled as specified on Nashville Electric Service Drawing. Arm must be constructed from cold formed structural steel tubing in accordance with ASTM specification A500 Grade B. Arm must be hot dipped galvanized to ASTM Specification A-123 after fabrication.

Arm shall be constructed from rectangular structural steel tubing with an outside dimension of four inches by six inches and a minimum wall thickness of 0.250 inch. Minimum yield stress of the tube must be 46,000 pounds per square inch. Minimum tensile stress must be 58,000 pounds per square inch.
4.0 SHIPPING 4.1
All parts of the arm structure shall be shipped disassembled.
5.0 DELIVERY 5.1
Specify in the proposal the minimum number of calendar days required for delivery of the arms after the award of the contract.

All arms shall be delivered and unloaded as stated in the invitation to bid.

6.0 BASIS OF PAYMENT 6.1
Payment will be made and proposals shall be submitted on the basis of a total price for arms with attachments. Bidders are to include an itemized list of the weight and cost for arm with bolts listed separately for Accounting purposes.
