October 21, 2017 Depart the U.S. on individual flights. October 22, 2017 Arrive in Warsaw at F. Chopin International Airport. Meet with your tour manager and transfer to the hotel. Enjoy an afternoon sightseeing tour that includes highlights such as Royal Lazienki Park, the Palace on the Water, and the modern city center. Enjoy a welcome cocktail followed by dinner. (Dinner) October 23, 2017 Breakfast is available daily at the hotel. Depart the hotel this morning to meet with representatives from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Discuss Poland’s educational system with a focus on arts education and state support for the visual arts. The afternoon is at leisure. (Breakfast, Lunch) October 24, 2017 Depart the hotel for a professional meeting at the Fine Arts Academy. Meet with members of the Faculty of Management of Visual culture to learn about the current role of art education in Poland. After free time for lunch, continue to a local elementary school and learn about teacher training. Enjoy dinner as a group this evening. (Breakfast, Dinner) October 25, 2017 Spend a full day discovering the beauty of Warsaw. Explore the Old Town—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—including Castle Square and the Royal Castle where the first European constitution was signed in
1791. Break for lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, drive along the Royal Route to see highlights such as the Holy Cross Church, the Parliament Building, and the city’s modern architecture. Dinner tonight is independent. (Breakfast, Lunch) October 26, 2017 Transfer to Krakow, the cultural capital of Poland. Visit the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts—the oldest finearts academy in the country. The school has turned out many notable graduates since its founding in 1818. (Breakfast, Dinner) October 27, 2017 Attend a professional meeting with members of Krakow’s Polish Artist Society. Discuss trends in Poland’s visual arts. This afternoon visit the AuschwitzBirkenau State Museum to view art created by the children and adult survivors of the Auschwitz and Birkenau concentration camps. (Breakfast) October 28, 2017 Spend a full day exploring the treasures of Krakow. Visit sites today including the Cloth Hall, Collegium Maius, and Wieliczka—the oldest salt mine in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy a farewell dinner tonight. (Breakfast, Dinner) October 29, 2017 This morning, depart the hotel for John Paul II International Airport in Krakow for flights home. (Breakfast)

Delegation Prices: Price based on double occupancy: $4,295 Single occupancy supplement: $1,200 Deposit of $500 per person, per program, payable by check or by major credit card is required to reserve a space on the program.
