Range & Variety
Whilst made from natural quartz materials, quality control processes mean that Caesarstone® slabs have a very consistent dispersion of chip (pattern) and colour variation.
In tests of flexural strength, impact strength, and water absorption, Caesarstone came out the clear winner against natural stone.
While being based off natural stone, each sheet of laminate has the same pattern giving greater consistency. Benchtops will be much closer to samples.
Is non-porous, very good resistance to staining.

Wider range of stone and other patterns in Gloss and Matt finishes.
Can have an inconsistent dispersion of chip.
Often have higher resin content than quality brands which means lower stain resistance.
May offer a product warranty, but is it being offered by a reputable company that has a good track record of supporting their products over many years?
Normally available in a very limited range of colours and thicknesses.
Each slab is unique, and has variations in colour, shade and grain. This means that actual benchtops can vary significantly from samples.
Natural Stone is porous, especially marble, and can stain quite easily, therefore requires regular sealing.
No warranty on natural stone.
Every benchtop comes with a complimentary cleaning kit.
Available in a wide range of colours and patterns, in 20mm and 30mm thicknesses.
Surface damage can sometimes be repaired by a trained Caesarstone fabricator.
