FAMILY PROMISE WEEK APRIL 12-18- The week of April 12th is right around the corner and NBPC is once again hosting homeless families in the Family Promise program through April 18th. We always need volunteers. All you need to do is fill out the form on the back of your perforated Sunday bulletin or contact Everlee in the church office at 625-5141 or by e-mail at [email protected] and give her your name and contact number-also tell her which area (this time around volunteers are needed in fellowship and especially over night hosts) you would like to help with and she will pass your info on to Bob Presley, chairperson of the Mission & Outreach Committee. The experience is rewarding!

DIALOGUE SESSION: The Session has authorized the Commissioners who attended presbytery recently to facilitate healthy conversations within our congregation. We would like to provide this forum to the congregation as a means to provide discussion on topics from General Assembly. We will discuss the basic process of General Assembly, and the recent decisions of GA. Lunch will be served at noon on April 19th, with the Dialogue Session to begin at 12:30 pm. Please sign up on the back of your perforated tear-out in the Sunday bulletin if you are interested in attending.

LADIES LUNCH BUNCH: Ladies, come join the Lunch Bunch at the Gruene Door in Gruene on Tuesday, April 7th. We meet for lunch at 12:30. A sign-up sheet is in the Narthex.

WALK IN THE PARK: We'll resume our walks this week, Tuesday, March 31st, at 10 am.

FAMILY PROMISE BED RACE: Ready to have fun for a great cause? Interested in building a bed into a racing vehicle and then racing it with others? NBPC is looking for one or two teams to represent the church in Family Promise's 1st Annual Bed Race to be held June 20th at Church Hill Middle School. The unique fun event, benefiting local families and children as they move on, up, and out of homelessness., requires a team of 6. The church can enter a team of youth and/or a team of adults. Each team is responsible for building a bed into a racing vehicle using a bed kit provided by McCoy's Building Supply and bed construction rules. Deadline to enter is May 15. Please let Neil Gately know ASAP if you are interested in being a part of the bed race team ([email protected]). Go to nbbedrace.com for more info.

EASTER SUNDAY: Between services, there will be a continental breakfast in the Parlor. If you would like to provide rolls, muffins, or eggs, please e-mail or call Jody Cosson. Also, please note that there will be no Sunday School classes on Easter Sunday.

PRAYER GROUPS: Currently we have a Wednesday Morning Prayer Group, a Telephone Tree Prayer Chain, and an Email Prayer Chain. If you are interested in

joining any of our prayer groups, please contact the Church office, at 625-5141 or [email protected]. 

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY: Our church will be participating in another Apostle Build this year with Habitat For Humanity of Comal County. There are 10-12 churches who have pulled together the funds to build this new home for Page Family and Ms Page has successfully completed her initial requirements to now assist in the building of her home. The ground breaking was on February 25th, and a bible was placed in the foundation of the home as a symbol of making the Word of the Lord part of the foundation of which the home will be built upon. Now it is time for NBPC to come together for our other commitment to make this home a reality for the Page family, and that is the physical labor. while I am not yet sure what kind of work we will be doing, we will need 10-15 volunteers (age 17 or older) to volunteer their Saturday on April the 11th. It is guaranteed to be a fun and rewarding experience. Please see JP Kesselring or call him at 210.857.4609 to sign up.

PRAYERS FOR THE CHURCH... The disciples and others returned to Jerusalem...where they constantly devoted themselves to prayer while they waited for the promise of the Father. Acts 1:12,14, 4b As the Lord is moving in the midst of His people, may all stand ready to receive His blessing. Let us pray:   

For the PNC and the movement of the Holy Spirit amongst them. For the movement of the Holy Spirit within the church. For a responsive spirit within everyone.
