NEW CUB SCOUT ADVENTURE PROGRAM The Connecticut Yankee Council will host a council-wide Cub Scout Leader Roundtable on Saturday, January 31, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the Connecticut Yankee Council Service Center, 60 Wellington Road, Milford. All Cub Scouters (Den Leaders, Cubmasters, Pack Committee Members) are invited to attend and get the scoop on the changes to the Cub Scouting program to take effect in June 2015: Scout Oath & Law for Cub Scouts Tiger Cubs become TIGERS with new logo Webelos badge no longer required to earn Arrow of Light Advancement simplified New program more aligned with aims and values of Scouting, that promotes “adventure” and activity New immediate recognition devices, belt loops & pins (Sports & Academics program discontinued) AND MORE! 2015 CONNECTICUT YANKEE COUNCIL CAMP KICKOFF SAVE THE DATE AND BE THERE: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2015 6:00 pm – 6:50 pm - Enjoy refreshments from a camper’s kitchen 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm - Hear all about big camp deals in 2015 Where: Spring Glen Congregational Church 1825 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06517 (directions on the reverse side) Who should attend: Unit leaders, unit camp coordinators, parents of Scouts attending camp as provisional Scouts, parents attending camp with their son, senior youth leaders, anyone interested in the Council’s camp programs This is the big opportunity to get answers to all your camping questions and to pick up copies of the 2015 leaders guide and all the latest promotional materials. Details on exciting program options and program changes will be announced. Key members of the 2015 camp staffs will be introduced.
