$5 Quilt Begins & Steam A Seam Lite 2
A lot of Row's (including ours) use Applique pieces and we've found Steam A Seam Lite 2 to be one of the very best products on the market for this How it's used! 1. Trace your shape on the GRID side of the Steam A Seam. 2. Cut around your shape leaving at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch around the shape itself. 3. Remove the PLAIN paper on the back side of your shape and stick it to the WRONG side of your fabric. 4. Using a dry iron quickly press your iron on the applique shape. 5. CUT the Steam A Seam Lite 2 AND the Applique shape along the trace lines. 6. Remove the remaining paper and fuse to your background fabric. 7. Stitch around the shape. I like to use the Blanket Stitch.
FOR THE FOODIE It's My Birthday Month! Since it's my (gulp) 40th...I'm going to feature all the yummy desserts I would love to eat on my birthday ...hint hint Mom! I'm starting with my most favorite Berry Chantilly. You can find the recipe on the A Sue Chef website. Don't worry chocolate will be next :)
