Dear Liberty Family, Blessings! March is the month that we will do most of the work for our outreach campaign entitled, “Liberty’s, The Big Invite.” The intent is to have a very large number of people in attendance this Easter Sunday. Easter is the Sunday of the year when more people are open to attend church. So, let’s invite as many people as possible on the greatest Sunday of the year. My personal goal is to have 600 people at our 10:45 AM Easter Celebration. We will use several methods to saturate our area with invitations to attend Easter Sunday. Dennis Crosby will lead our prayer emphasis which is called, “Seven to Heaven.” Each of us is asked to pray every week for seven lost and unchurched people. We will pray for them to attend and make a spiritual commitment to the Lord. You will create your own list of prospects to pray for and to invite to Easter. Errostine Knox will lead our mass mailing campaign. Thousands of people will be mailed an attractive invitation card to attend Easter services at Liberty. Rufus Silas will lead our door hanger campaign. We will identify several neighborhoods and hang hundreds of invitations on doors. Would God have you to adopt your neighborhood? Margaret Lunsford will lead the invitation card campaign. You will be given a small stack of business sized invitation cards to distribute. Jackie Merkison will lead our social media campaign. Between all of us, we have thousands of friends on Facebook. Jackie will instruct us on how we can invite our friends to Easter. Janet Vines will lead our webpage campaign. On every printed piece of material we will direct our community to our website so they can learn more about attending Easter services. Pastor Steve is leading our material campaign. You will see and will be given materials for participation. Jerry Clutter will lead our announcement campaign. You will be kept aware of the steps and progress through wall announcements. I will lead the preaching effort. I have sought God for messages that will challenge and encourage us to reach people who need the love of Christ. There are a lot of people who need to hear the Easter message. There is no more loving place to hear it than at Liberty. The campaign is called “Liberty’s, The Big Invite” for our church. For the community it is called, “Start Your New Beginning.” This is our message to everyone who attends Easter. Most people are unsatisfied with life. There is no better time to start a new beginning than Easter. It will take all of us to make this effort successful. You have a heart for seeing people saved and added to the church. So let’s all participate! I am excited. The Lord is up to something great. Be a part! It is a joy serving as your senior pastor. Thanks for working with your church family. --Pastor Randy

More information will be forthcoming on the children’s involvement with the campaign. KIDMO Children’s Church series for March is DEEP. We will learn to discover truth, we need to test everything against what the Bible says, to walk with God in prayer, God goes with us everywhere, and how to plug into the power of God’s Word, the Bible.

Hello parents and students: We are off to a great start to the New Year and we are looking forward to what God has in store for us this year. Just a reminder, we are still doing the Breakfast Fundraisers thru the end of the month of March and the full breakfast on March 26. Students, if you are planning on going on the mission trip this summer we need your participation. Also, on Sunday, March 5, we are starting the night at 5:00 PM with the showing of the wonderful movie “I Am Not Ashamed.” This is one of the most inspiring movies that I have seen, especially regarding our students. Please have them here for the event it will be a blessing. Also on March 18, we are having a bowling outing. We are going to meet at 3:30 PM and then go out for an inexpensive dinner afterwards. We should be back around 7:00 PM. Very importantly, the Student Ministry will be taking part in “The Big Invite.” When we have the churchwide door knocking program, the students will also be taking part. There will be more information to come on this. We are excited to take part. On Wednesday nights we will be completing the study of the last night of Christ’s life before His death as told from the book of John and then we will begin a study on the book of Daniel. Partnership Missions will compile a Missionary Recognition List of those who have served On Mission with Liberty Baptist Church. Have your name added to the list by contacting Skip Ferron, Missions Pastor, or by leaving a note in the church office. Please add to the note the place(s) where you were privileged to serve and the month and year of service. You must add your own name to be added to the Missionary Recognition List. The Missionary Recognition List will be placed prominently for prayer during the first week of April as a part of prayer emphasis for Liberty Baptist Church On Mission through Partnership Missions and Grasp International. \
Mission opportunities in March include: Construction in Butte, MT - The dates of service are March 12-19, 2017. A team will assist with interior renovation of a structure, formally a school, to provide for “loft-type” housing for university students, a management office, and a worship facility adapted for university students. The facility will be managed by Park Street Baptist Church in Butte. Ministry in Ayacucho, Peru - Teaching and sharing faith in Jesus Christ are the focus of a two-day ministry among 50 pastors from remote areas of east-central Peru and among the population of the City of Ayacucho.
