Eight Awards for Artists at Kimberly High School Kimberly, Wis. – January 19, 2016 – Seven Kimberly High School (KHS) students have brought home eight Honorable Mention Scholastic Art Awards. The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers identifies teenagers with exceptional artistic and literary talent and brings their remarkable work to a national audience through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. "The Scholastic Art competition compares to making it down to state in a sports program,” said Pete Greeninger, art teacher at KHS. “The best in the State of Wisconsin are exhibited at the Milwaukee Art Museum and this year we have eight works of art representing Kimberly High School.” The following Kimberly students received Honorable Mention awards for their artwork:

Artwork from Wisconsin’s winners will be displayed at the Milwaukee Art Museum beginning on January 30, 2016. At the 2016 Scholastic Art Awards: Wisconsin Exhibit, more than 375 pieces of art by students in grades 7-12 will be displayed. -more-
