NEWSLETTER 2016 3rd Annual Chapter Tournament The Tournament scene at Waikele Golf Course held on Sunday, May 29, 2016 was exciting this year with many great shots along with the fun and the fellowship that everyone enjoyed at EWGA-Hawaii Chapter 3 Annual Chapter Tournament. The course was designed by Ted Robinson and situated in one of the most lush valleys on Oahu. Waikele Golf Club is another of Hawaii's justifiably world-famous golf courses. The 18-hole course has a par-72 championship rating. Waterfalls, lakes and other water features make it difficult as well as scenic. Ten members participated in this event and along with other golfers (friends and members) that joined for a nice day of golf. The winners of the chapter tournament event were qualified to participate in the Simi-Final on June 18th - Sandpiper Golf Club, Santa Barbara, CA. This tournament simply would not happen if not for the help and the generosity of so many. We would like to Thank our Tournament Directors, Lyn Lamoreaux & Linda Damaso for making our third annual chapter tournament a great success. Special thanks to our 2016 tournament volunteers - Nestor Damaso, Mykala Yanos, Danielle Tucker, Samantha Lamoreaux, Skylar Padaya0-Lamoreaux and Kayla Padayao. Many thanks to the generous prize donation from Oahu Country Club, Ewa Beach Golf Course, Kona Country Club, The First Tee- Hawaii, Cool Living, LLC, Roger Dunn Golf Shop, Cross Country, Hawaii Central Federal Credit Union, Danielle Tucker and Lyn Lamoreaux. If you were not able to join us, you were missed! Buy you have a year to get ready to participate (or win!) in next year’s tournament. CONGRATULATION to all players!! !1

This year chapter tournament winners, Ginny Eji, Charleen Tajiri and Julie Kim qualified to compete at Semi-Final played on June 18, 2016 in Sandpiper Golf Course, Santa Barbara, CA. We are very excited for them along with our chapter as they are the first to represent Hawaii in the Semi-Final. Congratulations Ladies!

Congratulations to Mimi Orr and her partner Cindy Catugal (Royal Ka’anapali Golf Club) winning the 2016 BMW Ultimate Golf Challenge with their PGA of “The Dunes” of Maui Lani D i r e cto r o f G o l f G a r r et t O ka m u ra . Tournamentwas held at Ka’anapali Golf Course in April. The win has qualified them to the US Finals at Pinehurst, NC October 5-9, 2016. We would like to wish you all well.
