Newsletter No 9 - Resilience Friday 11 November 2016 Dear Parents/Carers ATTENDANCE Last week’s attendance was 95.43%, this is below our target of 96%, please let us know if you need any help or support with this matter. This week’s class attendance was won by Beijing and the most punctual class was Cairo. REMEMBERANCE DAY Today the children at Cloudside joined with the rest of the nation with their one minute silence. Thank you to Mr Nelson for playing the Last Post on his trumpet. The children were very respectful. PARENTS EVENING Thank you to all of the parents who came to Parents Evening this week. Also, thank you to the Year 6 children who gave up their time to help with Parents Evening, they worked very hard to help our visiting parents. Feedback from the questionnaires will be sent out in the next few weeks. HOMEWORK SHOWCASE We have once again had a fantastic response to our Homework Showcase, please follow us on Twitter and Facebook to take a look at some photographs. READING Please read with your child at home regularly and make a note of this in their Home School Diary. Reading is the key to learning! LIBRARY VISITS The children have enjoyed successful visits to the library this week. The children were a credit to the school with their excellent behaviour and manners. PE KITS Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school at all times. As the colder weather approaches we recommend that this includes tracksuits bottoms and warm top. PE is an important part of the curriculum and it is necessary that all pupils take part. Should you have any old PE kit, including trainers that you are willing to donate to school this would be greatly appreciated. JUNIOR TRANSFER The closing date to apply for a junior school place is Sunday 15th January 2017. If you require any assistance please do not hesitate to contact the office.
