Hello everyone! I’m excited about March this year. We will be celebrating 30 years of God’s faithfulness in our church family! March 5th, Anniversary Sunday, we are going to look back with thanksgiving, and look forward in anticipation to all that God has done and will do. One of Pastor Rader’s favorite verses was Philippians 3:13-14. Here Paul the Apostle is talking about how we are growing in knowledge of God and living by faith in His perfect will. He says “ Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet (full knowledge and perfect obedience); but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” I also love this passage and find it timely for these reasons: While it does us great good to look back and celebrate God’s power and goodness to us, it does us no good to look back on our immaturity and define ourselves by past sin and mistakes. It does us no good to define who we are and where we are going together based only on where we’ve been. Past victories are not current vision. Imagine me looking back on my cross country days and saying “I’m a cross country runner” today? Yeah…. No. It does us great good to eagerly choose obedience for what we already know, and to openly ask God where He wants to take us with wondrous anticipation. When God’s people are full of faith and willingness, great doors can be opened. This is true for you and me personally, and this is true for us as a church family. Nervous? Sure. Excited? Absolutely. Praying that you are too. May God give us another thirty years and more, unless He calls us home sooner. God loves you. We love you. God bless you greatly.

This month we’re learning about 1st & 2nd Chronicles, as well as Ezra & Nehemiah. In examining Nehemiah’s fortitude to seek out God to help solve a problem, teachers will discuss with the kids how they can approach solving problems in their own lives with God’s guidance.

As part of our serving mission, we learned last month about loving others by telling them about Jesus through our call as local missionaries, as well as what other missionaries do abroad. This month we will continue to reflect on this concept and pray for opportunities to talk to the friends or family on our hearts.

After this time of reflection, we want the children to take action. We will pray and make cards for the friends they have been praying for to invite them to church. We will also make cards to mail to the missionaries who visited us last month, thanking them for spending time with us and for serving God where we can’t right now.

Our conference this year took place February 5-12. Our 3 missionary couples during this year’s conference were: *Tim & Teri Hudson with Project Kenya *Dave & Julee Schoch working with Albanian Gypsies *Abel & Christa Muanica with Nurmay Missions *136 people attended the various home meetings *15 people went on the boat tour of the harbor. Had a great time, even with the extended time.

In the months of January and February other missionaries have reported the following: *70 were saved at various fields we support *48,225 students were saved at the 2016 camp Greg and LuAnn Lyons were a part of. *3,165 parents and teachers were also saved *Papua New Guinea reported for 2016 *72 saved *10 baptized *2 new works started *1 man and 5 families graduated from Bible School

Please keep all our missionaries in prayer! *36 ladies attended the Saturday morning tea. Many said they hoped to attend next year. *536 spoons were given to Project Kenya. On Sunday, Teri and Tim were presented with many more, gotten from corporate office and some brought in by other attenders. *100 spoons were given to Nurmay Missions. **We are going to continue to collect these colorful spoons for both mission fields.
