1. Disassembly a. Remove and discard OE valve and spring.

b. Keep OE retaining clip for reuse. 2. Installation a. Ensure valve bore and body are cleaned and clear of all debris. b. With the recessed end of the sleeve and the spring pocket end of valve facing outboard, install Sonnax sleeve/valve/spring assembly into bore far enough to reinstall OE retaining clip. NOTE: Due to casting variance, in some cases the sleeve may be slightly long (.010"-.020") for the bore, preventing the retainer from securing the sleeve properly. In these cases, carefully flat-sand the outboard face of the sleeve (at the recess area) until the sleeve is the proper length to fit in the bore.

3. Final Verification Steps Vacuum testing at the port(s) indicated holds the recommended minimum 18" in-Hg.
