NMRE Honorary Member Dr. Hajdukowski-Ahmed Dr. Hajdukowski-Ahmed holds a Doctorate in Comparative Literature from the University of Paris. She is an emeritus professor having experience as the Chair of the Department of French, as well as teaching in the Women’s Studies program and at the McMaster Institute on Globalization and the Human Condition. Her research focuses on transcultural identities and the socio-cultural determinants of the mental health of immigrant and refugee women. She was a principal investigator and co-chair of the McMaster Research Centre for the Promotion of Women's Health. She has authored and edited multiple books, working papers, reports, and essays on health promotion with immigrant and refugee women, research methodologies, Bakhtinian studies, and more! She currently hopes to contribute to the creation of a Department of Immigrant and Refugee Studies at McMaster University.
