North Branch Area Hockey Association April 2016 Newsletter
Annual Membership Meeting The Annual Membership meeting was held in March. Updates from all Board Members were shared with attendees. A copy of the presentation has been posted on the website under “Documents”.
2016/2017 NBAHA Board Board elections were held during the March Annual Membership meeting. The following members have been elected for the 2016/2017 season.

Three positions remain open. Please consider volunteering for the season. A description for these positions is included in this newsletter. Holding a position on the Board satisfies your Dibs for the year. Please contact a Member of the Board if you are interested or know someone who would be a great fit for one of these positions.
The Secretary's responsibilities include: Taking membership, board and other special meeting minutes Maintaining all records of business transacted Maintaining a file of all correspondence Booking the meeting room for all membership/board meeting as well as committee meetings and special events Responding to board emails or forwarding to correct board member Checking voice mail and responding to calls as appropriate or forwarding to correct board member Posting minutes on the website Backup for website updates and email blasts Authorized co-signer on all checks in the absence of the President or Vice President The Ice Director's responsibilities include: Coordinating all facets of the ice program Purchasing and distributing ice time (indoor and outdoor) Maintaining and distributing schedules for all levels Coordinate use of outdoor ice and facility, distribute keys to facility Attend all District 10 meetings and scheduling dates to schedule games and tournaments Adhere to game limits and game/practice ratio standards set by D10 The Publicity Director's responsibilities include: Coordinating all internal and external communications for the Association including newsletters and announcements. Website Administrator Coordinator of Publicity events Coordinates the volunteer program
Equipment Return If you missed the Equipment Return date, please contact our Equipment Manager Steph Schmitt at 612-865-7045 to make other arrangements.
Co-op Options A few Associations have approached us about forming a Co-op for the 2016/2017 season. We are looking at all options. Attend a Membership meeting to learn more.
April Membership Meeting Join us on Wednesday, May 4th at 6:30 at the North Branch Public Library for the April Membership meeting. All Members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Spring and Summer Activity NBAHA is active all year long. Watch for news on the upcoming spring and summer events. • • • •
Spring Adopt-a-Highway volunteer event Midsummer Days Parade participation 2016/2017 Registration - early opening Local gambling – always a way to support NB Hockey!

Rink Rats 19 A hockey camp designed to enhance individual skill development through on and off-ice training. The camp dates are July 5-9 and July 11-15 in Warroad, MN.
