North Branch Area Hockey Association November 2015 Newsletter 2015/2016 Fundraiser Update The Heggie’s Pizza fundraiser has been extended by two weeks until December 14th! .
BONUS Sell the most pizzas in the Association and win $100.00 If you need more fundraiser forms, make a copy of your current form or contact Fundraising Director Kevin Bollman [email protected]. Turn completed order forms along with any extra money collected to your Team Manager by December 14th.
Charitable Gambling – Employees Wanted NBAHA Charitable Gambling is looking for a few more employees. Hours and days are flexible. Please contact Ryan Coleman at [email protected] if you are interested. Support North Branch Hockey by attending a gambling event. A schedule of events is on the calendar found on our website.
NBAHA in the Community Learn to Skate The North Branch Area Hockey Association collected and donated eighty pounds of nonperishable items to our local food shelf. This effort was part of our annual Fall Learn to Skate event that took place over three weekends in October. Thank you Members for a great turnout and for your generous donations!
Adopt-a-Highway Our Association has a commitment to clean up a two mile stretch of highway on Falcon Avenue south of 95 as part of the Adopt-a-Highway program. On October 25th volunteers teamed up to clean up our community. Volunteer call for this activity takes place in the spring and the fall. We want to thank Sandy Johnson who has coordinated this program for our association for the past few years. This is Sandy’s last year in the association and we will be looking for someone to take over the program next year. You can earn 4 Dibs for the season. Please contact a member of the board if interested.
November Membership Meeting Join us on Monday November 23rd at 6:30 at the North Branch Public Library for the next Membership Meeting. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Members receive 1 Dibs point for attending their first Membership meeting of the season.
Welcome New Mite Families!
Mite Night! We had a great turnout during or annual Mite Night. If you were unable to attend or still need rental equipment it is not too late. Contact a member of the Board at [email protected] to get in touch with our equipment Manager. Mite Teams Formed! Mite Teams have been formed and practices started November 14th! Watch your email and see the Calendar on the website for specific team practice dates and times. Your Team Manager will also keep you updated. Mite Tips It is a good idea to have your Mite practice putting on his or her hockey gear prior to practice. Show up 30 minutes before practice to be ready and on the ice in time for practice. In addition to your rental equipment, remember your stick, mouth guard and skates.
