NRAB Meeting Shorts…
Purchase of new uniforms for all cheerleaders from 7th grade to Varsity (40 HS uniforms and 20 MS uniforms) were approved for $13,882. The following presentations were made for review by NRAB:
Adrianne Klein, Boys/Girls Swimming and Diving coach requested new warm-ups and bags for 75 swimmers. Sean Drvenkar, Football/Weight Room Coach, requested safety squat bars and iron necks for use by all athletes in the weight room. Nick Ciulli, Head Football Coach, requested new uniforms for varsity football (100 home, 100 away jerseys and 100 pants).
Supplementary donation stipends were allocated by the Boosters to the athletic department and each middle school and high school team through the end of the 2014/2015 school year. Several Trustee positions will be open for the 2014/2015 school year. Descriptions are outlined on Page 7 of this newsletter. NRAB received 47 scholarship applications this year. The Scholarship Committee will review and award $1,000 scholarships each to five male athletes and five female athletes.
To date, $31,000 has been deposited from the Car Raffle. Final accounting should be available by the April meeting. 5,916 tickets were distributed, 5,071 were turned in or sold, and 845 tickets were not turned in.

Night at the Races will be March 15 at 6:00 p.m. at Strongsville Rec. Tickets still available!! $850 in ad revenue for the program was raised from local businesses. Thank you to Bill Bartinelli and Lake Erie Graphics for donating the printing of the tickets!

UPCOMING NRAB MEETINGS: APRIL 7, MAY 5, JUNE 2
BOYS BASKETBALL Overall Season Record 20-2, Undefeated in NOC! Boys basketball had an outstanding year. Seniors Bryan Beilak, Logan Chuppa, Mario Guinn, Andrew Hartman, Brandon Lapeus, Henry Meinberg, Chris Narducci and Nick Woods led the team to their first ever 20-win season. The Bears had a bye in the first round of the playoffs and lost in the Districts 65-41 to Lakewood.
GIRLS BASKETBALL Overall Record 20-3, Undefeated in NOC! Girls basketball had an outstanding season. Alison Smolinski, Abby Miduri and Julianne Lebo were named First Team Northeast Ohio Conference. Rachel Flis and Mackenzi Matthews were named NOC Honorable Mention. Coach Steffani Cicerchi was named Coach of the Year for NOC River Division. The team won their first playoff game against Lorain then lost in District finals to Magnificat 57-46.
GYMNASTICS Koberling represents NRHS at State! The Gymnastics team finished fifth in the Northeast Ohio Conference championship, and fifth in Sectionals. Senior Julia Koetter, junior Tiffany Tarro and sophomore Alex Vitanza qualified for Districts. Senior Brianna Koberling advanced from the Northeast Districts to the State meet in the beam.

INDOOR TRACK Robinson and Denk qualify for State Meet! Sam Robinson and Kristen Denk qualified for the State Meet for indoor track and field at the University of Akron on March 8th. Sam qualified in the long jump and triple jump. This is his second time qualifying for state in the triple jump. Kristen qualified for pole vault. She heads into the meet ranked second in the state.

“Booster Shots” from NRAB President Ben Morgan: Dane Albright, Jason Grimes and Bill Bartinelli--Thank you for the outstanding job on the Winter Programs this year. Your group collaboration throughout the year provided a quality keepsake. An added bonus was that your hard work resulted in above expectation revenues generated from the sales and advertisements. Dawn Fillippi, Linda Miduri and Lynn Dorman--I appreciate the extensive amount of time that all of you provided for the Car Raffle. Your organizational skills and ability to administer this process is amazing. All of us cannot thank you enough for the effort!! Greg Robinson and Kathy Dapsis--Thanks for taking my initial vision of having supplementary funds this year and collaborating to produce the cash flow projections for the next few years. This information was valuable to our members so they could analyze the data and understand that this proposal was feasible.

OPEN TRUSTEE POSITIONS FOR THE 2014-2015 SCHOOL YEAR Several Athletic Booster trustee positions will be available at the end of this school year. If you are looking for a way to make a difference, get involved, and volunteer much-needed time to the athletic program in our district, please consider one of the following positions. This is a great way to meet new people and help raise funds for our student athletes. If you are interested, please call Ben Morgan at 582-8728. Vice President – The Vice President shall perform the duties of the President in his/her absence. Assist the President in the performance of his/her duties. Is a member of the Finance Committee. In the event the President resigns, the Vice-President will be elevated to that post with the approval of the Executive Board. Chairs the Constitution Committee when a new Constitution needs to be reviewed/drafted.
Treasurer – The Treasurer shall keep accurate records of all income and expenditures to and from the General Fund. Collect all NRAB income and deposit it in the designated accounts. Pay all expenditures incurred by the organization, prepare and present a current financial report of the NRAB at each regular business meeting of the general membership. File forms with organizations and federal, state, and local governments as required by law. Perform all other finance related actions as assigned by the President. Take the necessary steps to maintain North Royalton Athletic Boosters 501(c)(3) status. Serve as a member of the Finance Committee. Ensure there are two (2) signatures on every check.
Car Raffle - The Trustee will assist in stuffing car raffle tickets into envelopes, distributing tickets to team representatives, collecting all money and tickets and maintaining a record of all tickets.
Concessions - The Trustee is responsible for running the concession stand(s) at the North Royalton stadium. Specific duties include securing volunteers to staff the concession stand(s), ordering all products to be offered for sale along with required supply items, maintaining control over cash, and coordinating the disbursement of profits among the appropriate organizations.
Gold Card – The Trustee is responsible for contacting the representative for the Gold Card, having a Blitz Day or distributing Gold Cards to teams (or both), collecting all money from cards sold and getting it to the Treasurer for deposit.
Grapes, Grains and Brews – The Trustee is responsible for planning and organizing a tasting event. This includes choosing a venue, getting volunteers and selling tickets.
Night at the Races - Trustee is responsible for organizing the Night at the Races. Procuring the company to run the races, the venue, food, tickets, raffle baskets, side boards, selling tickets, advertising, getting volunteers and anything else to make it a successful event.
Programs – The Trustee is responsible for getting the teams’ pictures taken, securing advertisers, arranging for the printing and selling of the programs.
Purple and Gold Booth – the Trustee is responsible for working with Gearin’ Up and keeping a supply of North Royalton Spirit Wear in the booth at the stadium and obtaining volunteers to work the booth at each game. North Royalton Athletic Boosters Newsletter
