STYSA Communication Letter to Members NORTH TANGI MERGES INTO STYSA NORTH & SOUTH TANGI UNITE TO FORM ONE TEAM, ONE CLUB, ONE GOAL May 24, 2017 Dear STYSA Family, We are excited to announce that North Tangi Soccer Association has merged into STYSA !! We welcome all North Tangi Families, Players, Coaches, Referees, and Administrators into the STYSA Family !! North Tangi has decided to dissolve their organization and become part of STYSA. When the proposal was presented to the STYSA Board, the vote was unanimous to approve the merger. Board Members on both sides believe this is a “win, win” situation for all involved as this affiliation creates one of the most comprehensive youth soccer programs for players and families in Louisiana. By joining STYSA, North Tangi now has access to an effective structure with a full range of soccer programs and development opportunities for its members. The goal of our combined STYSA Organization continues to be to improve our programs and the soccer experience for all kids in our area, to welcome new members to join our STYSA Family, and to manage the Club in an efficient and effective manner, with increased transparency and open communication. Another benefit is that North Tangi will now have the opportunity to train and to play games at the state-of-the-art facility at Chappapeela Sports Park. With increased membership, STYSA will also have a stronger voice at the State level to represent the soccer interests of the entire Tangipahoa Parish at LSA. We are committed to offering a great soccer experience to everyone who wants to play, and an opportunity to participate at any level of competitiveness desired. Our priority is to make this transition as easy as possible. We have put together some answers to initial Frequently Asked Questions on the attached page. As we move along, more details will be communicated to you. We are excited about the opportunities ahead for our combined STYSA Organization! North Tangi Soccer Association (NTSA, North Tangi) is merging into South Tangi Youth Soccer Association (STYSA). STYSA will stay intact, NTSA will dissolve. WHAT ? Soccer in Tangipahoa Parish will become united under one stronger STYSA organization. WHEN ? The merger is effective immediately. Former North Tangi players will register in July for the upcoming Fall 2017 season through STYSA. More details will follow. WHERE ? North Tangi players will be able to train and play at Chappapeela Sports Park’s state-of-the-art facility. This will be especially important to North Tangi players who would like to play Recreational soccer for an age group not currently offered, or currently combined at North Tangi; for North Tangi players who would like to train and develop under the Academy Program, or those who would like to play Competitive League soccer. Younger North Tangi players will have the opportunity to play soccer at Chappapeela or to remain at the Amite and Independence fields that STYSA will now operate.
