Call to order by Region Director Dan Pfeffer New Region 11 page on Minnesota ASA website includes territory agenda Region 11 teams playing in national tournaments Men’s Slow Pitch Class C Berths - information forthcoming JO Report Tom Bye: a. Regional in Lakeville b. 18U Gold didn’t happen try for 2015 c. 16U Gold lots of interest d. Hall of Fame rotation is correct 6. UIC Report Steve Riswold - See attached for complete report a. National Umpire School in Rochester MN April 10-12 b. Adult Umpires are doing well c. JO Umpires excited about our young group of umpires d. Overall umpire numbers are down 7. Old Business - No Old Business 8. New Business a. Bids in Region: 1. JO - Sioux Falls 14A & 18A National Championship 2. Adult - Sioux Falls Men’s D/ E, Moorhead Men’s D/E, 3. Girl’s Slow Pitch - Difficult to find a host, cost prohibitive b. Commissioner Emeritus Stipend - There was an MSC to eliminate the Commissioner Emeritus Stipend. c. Rules and Code Items - Discussed the following proposed rules and code proposals: 1. Rules: #4 Mandates Senior Bats Being Checked, #5 Allows he 52/300 Design to be used in the 11” Softball, #7 Mandates Pitchers Must Wear a NOCSAE Approved Facemask
