Northwest Little League 2017 Volunteer Security Deposit Little League Parents – As you know, Northwest Little League (NWLL) is a 100% volunteer based organization. As such, NWLL needs more than just registration fees to run the league efficiently and effectively. It is critical to have the support of EVERY family to run a successful program. Parent participation and volunteering helps keep the registration fees reasonable and also helps to create a community within our league. EVERY family (regardless of the number of players) will be required to volunteer a minimum of 2 volunteer shifts throughout the season. This can be achieved through the efforts of multiple family members (including siblings 14+ years of age, grandparents, etc…). Documentation of volunteer shifts will be maintained to insure compliance. The parent/guardian of the player(s) will be required to sign below agreeing that failure to complete required volunteer shifts will result in forfeiture of the postdated $150 deposit. Please understand NWLL is not looking to collect your deposit but rather needs your time to insure that the season is run smoothly. Each family will be required to cover 2 duties that are listed below. Parents including coaches may volunteer for any open slot that fits their schedule. Anyone inside the concession stand must be at least 14 years old. Profits from the concessions allow us to provide new equipment for our players. Without these profits, these costs would be passed on at registration.
In order to receive your deposit back YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR SHIFTS BEFORE JULY 21st, 2017. Here are the ways that you can fulfill your volunteer shifts: Field Work days Concessions Special Events Team Parent Field Maintenance Team Coach Team Manager NWLL Board Member
Volunteer positions will be filled on a first come first served basis and spots will be limited, so register early to be able to sign up for your preferred event and time. Please note that YOU ARE REQUIRED to schedule your time with an appropriate board member for your time to count. Thank you for your support!
Note: Team Parent and 2 Team Coaches are appointed by the Team Manager. These positions count for the complete volunteer obligation. Team Manager is selected by the NWLL Board and counts for the complete volunteer obligation. NWLL Board Member is an elected position and counts for the complete volunteer obligation.
