Northwest Little League Baseball - Advanced Tee Ball
Players of this level will begin the development of the basic skills of baseball. Focus will be on Hitting, Catching, Throwing, and basic play fundamentals. Batting will be coach pitch at this level with minimal utilization of the batting tee. Games will only be scheduled against in house teams. Tryouts are not required for this level with the exception of players who are league age 6 and have one year of Advanced Tee Ball may tryout to play up to Minors.

Baseball - Minors
Players of this level will continue to develop basic skills of baseball. Kid pitch will be used at this level from 46 ft., Depending on the number of teams some games may be scheduled with surrounding communities. This level will consist of two divisions (AA and AAA) and players will be drafted to teams based on their skill level. Tryouts are required for this level with the exception of players who are league age 11 and have one year of Minors may tryout to play up to Intermediate Division. AA – (Geared towards ages 7-9) Kid pitch will be used at this level from 46 ft., walks are not allowed, and coaches assist after a pitcher has thrown 4 balls to a batter. AAA - (Geared towards ages 9-11) Kid pitch will be used at this level from 46 ft. along with the introduction of stealing after the pitch.

Advanced Transitional level for players who are looking to further their baseball skills This level will consist of two divisions (Traditional and Intermediate) and players will be drafted to teams based on their skill level. Tryouts are required for this level with the exception of players who are league age 13 and have one year in the Intermediate division may tryout to play up to Juniors. Games will be scheduled with other teams throughout District 13. Intermediate (50/70) - At this level, the pitcher’s mound is set at 50 ft -bases are set at 70 ft. Junior Baseball rules apply.

Play is conducted on the same infield dimensions they use at the high school, collegiate, and professional level. Designed exclusively as a travel type league for the players, games are played against other Little League organizations from surrounding areas. Tryouts are required for this level

Baseball - Tournament Teams Northwest Little League (NWLL) will again institute for 2015 a tournament teams in an effort to compete with travel leagues. Players registered with NWLL regular season teams will have the opportunity to be selected to participate on a NWLL Tournament Teams for 2015. The Tournament Teams will be selected from the evaluations scheduled in February by the tournament managers. If your child is selected for one of the Tournament Teams, there will be an additional fee charged per child. We estimate this cost could be between $300 and $400 dollars. The Tournament Teams will play in a minimum of 3 tournaments throughout the 2015 season and will have practices in addition to the child’s 2015 NWLL team. The Tournament Teams are separate from the All-Star Teams, which are selected at the end of the season. All players will be considered for the AllStar draft regardless of participation in the Tournament program Please note that the child’s NWLL 2015 team comes first if there are any scheduling conflicts between one of the Tournament Teams and the child’s NWLL Team. Players who do not participate in 60% of their regular season team’s scheduled games will not be eligible for All-Star’s regardless of their participation on the Tournament team. Details are still being decided upon for all of the specifics, there is no guarantee that a tournament team will be available for each age level as this will be dependent on participation, tryouts and manager/coach participation.

Instructional Division for 6-7 year olds or first time 8-9 year olds. This level is for players who need an introduction into the very basics of the game. This level is 100% coach pitch and will focus on the fundamentals of the game with an emphasis on practices. Tryouts are not required for this level with the exception of players who are league age 8-9 and have one year of Minor B may tryout to play up to Minor A.
