March meeting minutes approved, motion by Pete, 2nd by John Loftus Nominations for NOSO Scholarship approved, Sarah Loeser & Josh Javor

Final decision regarding NOSO Scholarship Award to be made, 1 boy & 1 girl

After registration deadline for In-house, there were an additional 200 registrations up to 2 weeks after the deadline



In-House registration is over 400 players

John Cannon, Vice President:

Golf outing contract with Springvale has been signed



Still looking for a vendor to provide steak for the outing, some ideas are Giant Eagle, Heinen’s & Ace’s Bar & Grille

 

Chik-fil-A will provide lunch for the outing & will run the concessions in the Coke Trailer at Barton-Bradley for the spring session, profits will be given back to NOSO

Sponsors for holes are needed, would like to create a bundle package w/NOSO Cup. Bundle hole sponsor, signs and ad in NOSO Cup program Night At the Races contract signed, the date is October 4, 2011

Rescheduling games In-house start date was pushed back a week due to low enrollment, numbers did pick up with the delayed start date.

Picture day make-up date is 4/30, with an alternate date of 5/14, forms are at Barton-Bradley coaches can pick up. Ken Janosek, Director of Public Relations:  Can give John Cannon & Miguel a password to access the website in order to post messages, such as field closings  NOSO Camp information is posted & set for registration online, will open soon

NOSO Board Meeting Minutes  Tom: will mail brochures to last year’s attendees, as well as out of town NonNOSO members Ken: JD’s can make changes to brochure

 Arnold confirm Cedar Point will sponsor NOSO Cup, same agreement as in the     

past email blast from Arnold, some response from 1st round, 2nd round will be sent w/ a final blast 1-2 weeks before registration deadline 21 early registration, most since Ken has been involved discount $50 was applied to early registrations, some were charged an additional $50 below discounted rate if paid by c/c change registration deadline to May 31, 2011 Miguel-can we get reports of open rate on email blast, Ken: can send reports

Open, Director of InHouse:  No Report Tom Hatfield, Director of Tournaments:  NOSO Camp will have the following coaches: Christian Marsh, Erica Klienholz, Joe Buchek, Clint Holiday, Patrick McAndrew  has a request from a team to bring 20 players to NOSO Cup even though the roster limit is 18, per Ohio North  Need to follow Ohio North rules because they sanction the tournament  need age group coordinators, Ken: possible change to registration night, so Clubs that have teams in multiple age groups don’t need to travel from table to table, John C., maybe organize in alphabetical order?
