INTRODUCTION Use this guide to replace your heating element if it has stopped working.
TOOLS: Phillips #2 Screwdriver (1) Utility Scissors (1) Needle Nose Pliers/Wire Cutters (1)

Step 1 — Bowl
Make sure that the device is unplugged and has not been used recently because the extractor head and bowl can be very hot.
Place the device on a steady table.
Lift and remove the rim.
Step 2
Twist the bowl clockwise until it is free of the groove and lift to remove.

Step 3 — Extractor Head
Firmly grip the extractor head and slowly lift vertically to remove from the device.
Step 4 — Unscrewing the base
Unplug the device before following this guide.
First, place the device on its side, making sure the switch is not facing down.
Remove the eight 12mm Phillips #02 screws from the base.

Step 5
Gently separate the panel from the device.
Be sure not to tug at the wires that are still connected.
Step 6 — Wiring Teardown
Locate the tie strap holding the wires and cut with a pair of scissors.
Use care not to snip the wires.

Make note of the wiring arrangement of each bundle before this step.
Using wire cutters, cut each wire as close to the wire connector as possible.
Cut the wires in both bundles.
To reassemble the cotton candy maker after cutting the wires, follow our rewiring guide. Step 8 — Heating Element
Remove the six 10mm Phillips #02 screws that secure the metal housing covering the heating element.
Remove the metal housing.

Step 9
Remove the four 9mm Phillips #02 screws that secure the heating element to the rest of the device.
Step 10
Line up the prongs on the motor shaft with the slots in either side of the hole in the heating element and lift it off the device.
