Communication and Language
Physical Development
We will be thinking about more complex questions and sharing our thoughts, views and opinions with each other.
We will be taking part in weekly Jittabugs sessions to develop our gross and fine motor skills.
We will be learning lots of nursery rhymes and songs.
We will be learning to become more independent in getting ourselves ready, putting on our coat or fastening our zips.
Personal, Social and Emotional We will be talking about feelings and behaviour and how what we do can affect how other people feel. We will be continuing to learn how to be a good friend to others, and we will be trying hard to learn and follow our classroom rules:
We will be learning how to listen and talk with each other nicely.
Our classroom rules are: -keep your hands to yourself, walking feet and play nicely with your friends Our group rules are: - quiet lips, listening ears, thinking heads, sitting nicely, looking eyes.
We are doing lots of running, skipping, jumping and hopping.
Nursery – Spring 2
We will be starting to write our name using our name cards.
Expressive Arts and Design
Literacy We will be introducing our story pack books that can be borrowed and used at home to tell a range of stories.
Mathematics We will be following on with our Ten Town number characters and reinforcing the numeral and how to form it as well as counting out the correct number.
We will be drawing lots of pictures and talking about what we have drawn.
In nursery we plan from the children’s interests and use stories as a basis for our learning. To see what we will be learning each week come and look at our learning wall in nursery. Some of the things we will be looking at this term are: -
Easter,
-Shrove Tuesday,
-Mr Wolf’s pancake,
Understanding the World We will be exploring our new outdoor area.
We will be doing lots of singing and dancing as part of our Jittabugs sessions.
We will be learning how to use the ICT equipment such as cameras and the computers as well as the bee bots.
We will be learning what different instruments sound like and having fun playing with them.
We are going to be talking about animals and how they grow and change, how we can look after them and the things they eat.
We will be beginning to learn how to use the paints, craft and drawing equipment to create pictures and models.

Take home our nursery packs and story books to enjoy with your child. We will also be sending home ‘Russ’ with his diary this term for you and your child to complete together at a weekend. Completing the home activity with your child. Counting out lots of objects and recognising numbers 1-5. Adding a ‘wow’ moment to our ‘wow wall’.
