He was a brick mason and loved to help people when he could. He was a good provider for his family, whom he loved very much. Mr. Smith was an outspoken, and fun loving individual. He was a very hard worker even during his time of sickness. He is preceded in death by a brother, James Garfield Smith, and his brother-in-law Alonzo Jr. McDaniel. He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, James L. Smith of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Ella Louise Smith of Philadelphia, PA; Maggie Brown (James) and Corinna McDaniel both of Rowland, NC; a special sister, Sandra Page, two brothers, James Charles Smith, and Timothy Tyrone Smith from Philadelphia, PA; his grandmother, Suzanne Thompson of Charlotte, NC; three aunts, Juanita, Sallie, and Madgelene all from Buffalo, New York, his significant other, Ella Page, seven children, two special grandchildren, Brianna and Dacoaleon, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives. A Better Place He’s in a better place right now Than he’s ever been before; All pain is gone; he’s now at rest; Nothing troubles him anymore. It’s we who feel the burden of Our sadness and our grief; We have to cry, to mourn our loss, Before we get relief. We know we’ll reconnect with him At the end of each life’s road; We’ll see her cherished face again When we release our earthly load. The Family
