October 13, 2017 Parents: Welcome to our First Nine Weeks Parent-Teacher Conferences. We are offering opportunities to meet with our teachers, tips to assist at home and student progress. SCHOOL MISSION The mission of the Mathematics, Science, and Arts Academy is to challenge our community of learners to reach global standards through unique and engaging experiences and opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment.
School Goals 3-8 ELA - Increase % Mastery & Above from 66% in 2017 to 75% in 2018 3-8 Math - Increase % Mastery & Above from 69% in 2017 to 73% in 2018 EOC Proficiency - Increase % Good/Basic & Above from 84% in 2017 to 90% in 2018 ACT - Increase % of Seniors scoring 21 & Above from 42% in 2017 to 63% in 2018

Breakfast ends at 7:15 a.m. K-12 Instruction begins at 7:20 a.m. Students arriving to school after the school day has begun must report to the office with a parent or guardian. PreK Instruction begins at 7:45 a.m. Parents must sign students in with a PreK Teacher or Para. Parents are not allowed on the hallway without a visitor's pass. Parents are welcome to have lunch with their child(ren). Parents are welcome to bring store bought treats to the class to celebrate birthdays during Brain Break. We welcome parent volunteers. A parent or legal guardian may not check out students no later than 30 minutes prior to dismissal. A valid photo identification must be shown upon requests. All students, faculty and staff shall wear identification badges at all times; at school and on field trips. Badges must be worn with picture showing. A bus pass is needed to change bus assignments.
