2017 SAMPLER Quilts Plus 2017 Sampler has three new color ways to choose from featuring two 6” blocks in your choice of teals, black/white or civil war fabrics. This 12 month program meets as follows: 2nd Monday of each month at 10:15, 1:30 or 3:30. We will be demonstrating options for construction at each session. If the scheduled times are not convenient, or you prefer not to come to a meeting at all, you may pick up your block any time after the 2nd Monday of each month – or we can set up a program to mail your blocks to you. ANCIENT RADIATION (56” X 62”) Designed by Rebecca Bryan, this striking quilt is paper pieced, using a rainbow of brightly-colored fat quarters. You’ll love how easily this goes together! If you need help with quilt or binding—we’re your girls; if you want to make a special table runner or placemats—we’re your girls; if you want to learn more home decorating ideas, tips or techniques—we’re your girls; if you’ve always wanted to learn to paper piece—we’re your girls; if there is a certain bag that’s giving you fits—we’re your girls. The cost for this would be $20 for a day from 10 to 3. Arrangements for a Custom Class would have to be made in advance, and there are some days this option is not possible. Care and maintenance of the featherweight is co-taught by Bill Behrman, and Steve. This "hands on" class teaches disassembling and cleaning each area of the machine. The instructions are well illustrated, and have been thoroughly tested. The pattern includes 6 sizes: Lap size (42” x 54”), Square (42” x 42”), or Crib Size (30” x 42”), Twin (70" x 90"), Full (84" x 90"), and Queen (98" square) Also included, four block sizes (6", 3", 4 1/2", and 9"). Adorned with dimensional gift tags, ribbons and buttons, you’ll make both applique and pieced blocks, plus learn new techniques like chenille flocked trees and vinyl applique. Instructor: Amber (4 sessions 10-3) DATES: Wednesday 10/18, 11/1, 11/15, 11/29 Cost: $75 KATIE’S QUILT 64” X 76” This method of making 4-patches using 5” squares or a layer cake. There is no better way to make scrappy units that look so good and go together so quickly! You’re going to love this little trick! From Missouri Block Vol. 3 Issue 5. Wooly Block Adventure begins October 16, 2017 and runs through December 15, 2017. It is similar to Row by Row held during the summer in the way it works. • We will be giving away a pattern for one 8” wool applique block if you come into our store. • You will be able to purchase our block kit either online at www.quiltspluskazoo.com or in our store. • You will be able to purchase the pattern online (without coming to our store) at www.quiltspluskazoo.com for $5.00. • Prizes consisting of one wool fat quarter (16” x 16”) and one $25.00 gift certificate will be awarded to the first customer who brings in a completed project(s) December 16, 2017 through February 15, 2018. Completed project(s) included stitched appliques, project backed and labeled, such as table runners, pillows, wall hangings, bags, etc. using 8 different patterns from at least 8 different Wooly Block Adventure participating shops. Customer must also bring copies of patterns to present as verification. A special prize will be awarded if the finished project(s) include our block.
