4-H Events

In October on National 4-H Science Day 4-H members from Schoharie County built a wearable health monitor using a very small, low cost computer called the THING, pulse oximeter, tilt sensor, power supply, alligator clips, jumper wires, felt, Velcro strip and AA batteries. The challenge was to make a wearable health monitor that should be small and easy to wear and nice to look at or even trendy!

The Riders Club, Food Friends, and the Kool Kats Dog Club all helped sell

Claudia Walrath, (left), Gabriel Wood (bottom) and Mason Patchen (bottom right) designing their incredible wearable.
