This map shows the general areas where students would walk to school, get regular school bus transportation, or get modified school bus transportation (such as students walking to a community stop for pick-up and drop-off). The Transportation Department will provide specific information for each student so families can make informed decisions about school choices during Open Enrollment.
Planned Community Stop Locations for 2011-12 School Year Intermediary Boundaries have been created to extend transportation eligibility for two years (2011-12 and 2012-13 school years). The transportation within the Intermediary Boundaries will be primarily provided at Community Bus Stops. Community Bus Stops are located at or near your neighborhood school and within the walk zone of the school. This could require up to a one mile walk. If you do not live in a walk zone for an elementary or K-8 school, the bus stop will be at a regular neighborhood stop and could require a walk of up to a half a mile. If you live within a half a mile of the regular transportation zone, you can apply for space available transportation and walk to a corner stop within the zone. Community Bus Stop locations are likely to be at or near the following neighborhood schools for the attached transportation map. Community daycare stops will be added to this list as identified.
