Parent-Teacher Conferences
We will have fall conferences after the end of the first quarter. The quarter will end on November 3 and conferences will be held on the evenings of November 9 and November 14. Many parents scheduled conferences at the beginning of the school year. Reminders of conference times and dates will be sent home with students on Monday. If it is necessary to make a change in time please contact your classroom teacher or the elementary office.
PTO Meeting
We will be having a meeting of the H-BC PTO on Monday, October 23 at 7:00. The organization helps to fund extra activities for our students and has been instrumental in helping to build programs at our elementary school. Students are currently in the process of participating in the PTO Fundraiser and we are always looking for individuals to get involved and help out with PTO activities. If you are interested in being a part of PTO please let Mr. Phelps know and feel free to attend the meeting on Monday night!
Bus Safety Week
Fall Festival
This week we celebrate bus safety week. Thanks to our bus drivers who are often the first friendly face that our students see in the morning and the last school staff to see them at the end of the day. We appreciate all of your work and care in keeping our student’s safe. Our bus drivers include: Ron Rauk, Rick Tatge, Lila Tatge, Doug Boeve, Arlen Leenderts, Harlen Stueven, Helen Kraayenhof, and transportation director Chris Harnack. Thanks again!
We will hold our Fall Festival on the afternoon of Friday, October 27. Students will celebrate the last week of our first quarter by participating in a variety of carnival games. Student council members and parent volunteers will help organize the games on that day. If you are willing to help as a volunteer please contact Mr. Phelps. We are also looking for donations of candy for the event. If you would like to donate candy please send it to the office with a label of “Fall Festival.”

PTO Fundraiser is ongoing. Sale forms will be due back on Monday, October 23 October 18 will be a FULL DAY of school – MEA Break is October 19 and 20 Unity Day will be on October 25 – Students are encouraged to wear orange Fall Festival is planned for October 27 We will have an early out for students on Friday, November 3 Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences will be on November 9 and 14.
