The Technical Traffic Operations Course will be held April 4-15, 2016 at the OPC in Aylmer.
The Transportation Planning Workshop will be held April 8, 2016 at the Holiday Inn Burlington.
The Intersection Safety Course will take place April 21 & 22, 2016 at Le Jardin, Woodbridge.
This course and the Police Traffic Officers Course run concurrently. The two courses encourage interaction between engineering and policing personnel and build an understanding of the roles that staff in each field contribute to enhancing safety on Ontario’s roads.
This year’s Workshop will focus on issues current to the Transportation Planning field in Ontario. Topics will include Accommodating Pedestrians and Cyclists at Roundabouts, Translating the AODA Into Practice, Automated Vehicles in Ontario, Good Movement Planning as well as the City of Toronto’s new Cycling app for mobile phones.
This comprehensive two-day course encompasses all forms of at-grade intersections (unsignalized, signalized and roundabouts) and the safety of their users (pedestrians, bicycles, vehicles and others). This course is unique in North America and is readily applicable to many aspects of transportation planning, design, operations and maintenance.
