All players will be listed in the batting order. All players will bat. All players will play defense. Any player may play defense at any time. You can have 6 infielders; the rest can play outfield. Having a “catcher” is optional. 5. Each batter will receive a maximum of Five (5) swings. a. The batter will have the option of hitting off the tee or having it pitched to her. b. If the ball is not hit after 3 pitches, it must be placed on the tee for the final two swings. c. If the batter does not hit the ball after 5 swings, her turn at bat is over but no out will be recorded. d. There will be no called strikes, walks, or bunting allowed. 6. Teams will bat through the batting order giving every player a turn at bat, regardless of the number of outs. Upon the start of the next inning, the order should be reversed, allowing the last batter from the previous inning to now bat first. All batters must wear a helmet. 7. Play will be “Base to Base.” Each hit will result in a single, moving each base runner forward 1 base at a time. The exception being the last batter of the inning which will clear the bases with a “Home Run.” It is suggested to rotate your lineup each game so each player has the opportunity to bat last. 8. A regulation game will consist of Three (3) innings or One (1) hour, whichever comes first. Games may end in a tie. 9. Batting helmets must be worn by all offensive players involved in the game (on deck, at bat, or on base). 10. Catchers must wear a helmet with mask. 11. No infield practice will be taken before games. 12. All equipment must remain inside the dugouts. 13. Two (2) defensive coaches will be allowed on the field to coach defensive players. 14. All players must play 50% of the game and “start” in half of the team’s games. If a player has not entered the game on defense after 30 minutes, she must go in the game. 15. Stealing is not allowed, and players must wait until the ball is hit before leaving the base. 16. Once the ball has reached the pitching circle, no players can advance. If they are between bases, they can continue to the base they were headed. Practices: 1. Teams will be allowed a maximum of Two (2) practices per week. 2. Practices are for 1 hour. 3. Practices on FNC Park fields must be registered through the online scheduler on the FNC Park website (www.fncpark.com). Coaches will receive a confirmation email clarifying field time and location.
