Olentangy Youth Athletic Association (OYAA) Recreation Soccer Program & Classics Eagles Announce Partner Agreement August 4, 2017 The Olentangy Youth Athletic Association (OYAA) Recreation Soccer Program is pleased to announce the creation of a partnership with Classics Eagles (Soccer Club) which takes effect with the 2017-18 seasonal year. The partnership affords players, volunteer coaches, referees and families who currently participate in OYAA Recreation Soccer the opportunity to interact with the highly respected Classics Eagles professional staff. Classics Eagles will also be the “Official Sponsor of OYAA Recreation Soccer”, including a presence on all OYAA Recreation Soccer jerseys. OYAA and Classics Eagles share a strong commitment to the Olentangy community through the game of soccer. Together, the shared passion & commitment in this partnership has the following goals:
To make an even greater positive impact on the child's learning environment and enjoyment of the game. To provide expanded support for the volunteer coaches who are guiding the child's learning process. To help parents better understand how to support their child's interest in playing soccer. To create unique experiences for players, coaches, young referees and families that will foster continued participation and enjoyment of the game of soccer.
The partnership includes but is not limited to some of the following programs and benefits:
Free supplemental skills festivals and programs in each season for all OYAA age groups. Free coaching education and shadowing programs for OYAA’s volunteer parent coaches. Free parent and player education programs to promote understanding of the “beautiful game”. Specialized “out of season” skills programs and playing opportunities presented by Classics Eagles. Specialized newsletters and other web based and social media resources that will support the OYAA Recreation Soccer experience.
The partnership will kick off with Free Pre-Season instructional clinic the OYAA Recreation Soccer players on August 18th and August 20th Stay tuned for details and we look forward to this exciting opportunity to better serve the soccer players and families in our community!
