How Are Teams Formed? Option 1: As an individual Players register as an individual The individual players will be assigned to a team as space is available. New teams may be formed if there are enough players in an age group and a parent coach volunteers their time. Option 2: As a team Coaches must complete and return a CFC Competitive Team Application (included at end of document or email us for electronic file by June 9th. The application captures team name, coach contact information and the anticipated roster – players names and date of birth. All players listed on the roster are required to complete the Classics Eagles Online registration process for their respective community by June 9th. Parents are asked to list their child’s head coaches name during the E-registration process. This will help to quickly assign the child to the proper team.

Classics Eagles Competitive Program Overview: The Classics Eagles Competitive Program is designed to offer players/coaches the opportunity to play soccer at a level above the recreational program level, and provide an intermediate option between Recreation Soccer and Classics Eagles Premier Program. The CFC Competitive Program highlights... 1 year commitment – Fall (August, September and October) and Spring (March, April and May) seasons; the expectation is that players will participate on their the team for one calendar year per the schedule listed at end of document Teams are coached by volunteer parent coaches who will lead the team. The coaches have access to developmental opportunities under the direction of the Classics Eagles Coaching Staff and Directors of Coaching. Coaches must submit a Team Application; coaches form their own teams – Coaches CAN NOT hold a tryout or any other selection/assessment type process. Teams can be dropped from the program if they hold tryouts for teams joining the Classics Eagles Competitive Program. Individual players can register; the individual players will be assigned to a team as space is available. New teams may be formed if there are enough players in an age group/gender and a coach volunteers his/her time. Player uniforms are not included in the fee. Each player must purchase at minimum 2 jersey, 1 short, 2 socks. The cost of those items ranges is estimated at ~$120. You will have the option of purchasing additional uniform items. Professionally Coached Sessions -- Each team will receive a total of 12 professionally coached training hours (includes the winter indoor training) annually. Your team will be paired with another team during each session. Tournaments: Teams will attend the league's end-of-season tournament. Teams may also choose to attend 1- 4 additional competitive tournament during the entire year. The tournament must be within the state of Ohio. Teams at the competitive program are not permitted to travel outside the state of Ohio. The extra tournament is paid for by the families on the team and is not included in fees. Each coach will be asked to submit notification of their additional tournament applications. Teams will participate in the Ohio Champions League. The OCL offers coaches the opportunity to self schedule games. Request for entry in other leagues must be approved by the Director of the Competitive Program, and additional fees may apply.

How to Sign Up? Teams: Coaches must complete and return a CFC Competitive Team Application (included at end of document or email us for electronic file) by June 9th. The application captures team name, coach contact information and the anticipated roster – player’s names and date of birth. All players listed on the roster are required to complete the Classics Eagles E-registration process by Saturday, June 9th. Parents are asked to list their child’s head coaches name during the E-registration process. This will help quickly assign the child to the proper team. Individual Players: The Classics Eagles Competitive Program accepts individual player registrations. Players should leave the head coach information option blank. Classics Eagles will make every effort to assign players to a team in their own age group. Classics Eagles may also consider forming new teams comprised of players who registered individually. Teams are formed if there are enough individual players in that age group who commit to a team and we are able to secure a parent coach from that group. We do not guarantee placement. All players are required to complete the Classics Eagles Online registration process by June 9th Team Registration Deadline - Head Coach Only The head coach must submit the Team Application (included at end of document) by, June 9, 2013. Applications received after June 9th may be placed on a wait list. The application is emailed to Brian Smith at [email protected] Player E-Registrations All players (on a team or looking for a team) must complete the E-registration process. If you have selected to tryout for a Classics Eagles premier team but would still like the option to play on a competitive team depending on outcome, you do not have to register for the competitive. Only register for premier tryouts with the club. Online Registration Process -- Ends: June 9th Player Fees: $450 This fee includes but not limited to all league, association, club, and referee fees (max of five home games), professional training, soccer ball, and end-of-season league tournaments. If you so choose, the additional competitive tournament option is additional expense distributed among the players on your team. Players must provide their own shoes, shin guards, and water bottle.

The fees are paid in 2 installments. Payments must be made with credit card using the Classics Eagles online registration system.

Refunds – Payment #1 is a non-refundable commitment fee and reserves your child’s place on a team in the Classics FC Competitive Program. After September 1st, refunds are only given if a child is injured and unable to play the rest of the year (doctor’s note required), or the family moves outside a geographical area that prohibit the child from participating on their CFC team. Refunds would also be given to individual players who are not assigned to a team. Please note that all fees paid are non-refundable for players who resign once their position has been accepted. In case of injury, fees will be prorated against the remaining season and credited towards the next season's fees. Coach Formation Meeting – Mandatory (team must be represented) We will schedule this for after the June 9th date to review processes, collect paperwork from your team, and begin preparation for the season.

Uniform Fittings Because ALL players will purchase their own uniforms; Classics Eagles will hold a uniform fitting session and we will communicate those dates when officially scheduled. Practice Shirts will not be provided by the club. Each player will have the option to purchase moisture wicking practice shirts this year. If returning player, all players have the option to wear their previous years Classics Eagles practice shirts.

This is not an official or final roster. Changes can be made until June 24, 2013. Each player must register their child(ren) using the Classics Eagles Online registration system at www.classicseagles.com. During the registration process, the parent must type the name of the HEAD COACH so the player is assigned to the correct team. As a condition for participation, the coach of a team with roster positions available (up to the maximum number) must be willing to accept individual players who request to play on a Classics Eagles Competitive Team--Parent Coach team.
