The life, The Love and The Legacy With long life I will satisfy her, and show her My salvation. Psalm 91:16
Truly, our mother, Janie Inabinet experienced the blessings of a natural birth and life as well as a spiritual life of being a Born-Again believer in Jesus Christ. Janie was the daughter of the late Prince Peterson (step-father) and the late Viola Elouise Harrison Peterson.
Janie was educated through the Richland County school system. She was employed in the grocery industry; and, in her later years, she served her family as a dedicated, devoted, diligent, virtuous, stay-at-home mother. Her spiritual journey as a believer began at First Nazareth Baptist Church where she served in the ministry as an usher and whatever else her hands found to do for the glory of God and the edifying of the saints. She later sensed the Lord leading her to be under the ministry gifts of her daughter and son-in-law at Kingdom Builders Christian Center. There her faith continued to grow and experience the anointing of God’s presence through worship and the Word of God. In addition to her parents, Janie was preceded in death by her brother, Prince Peterson, Jr., and her sister, Dorothy Peterson Sweet.
Next to her love for God was her love for her four wonderful, loving children, whom she leaves to cherish her memories: her only son, Alexander William Inabinet, Jr., and her loving daughters:
Monica Faye (Benjamin) Stearns, Deloris (Norman) Curlee and Cindy Denise (Dwayne) Keels. She also leaves to cherish her loving life: her sister, Vivian Ann (Clarence) Blakely, and sister-in-law, Joyce Peterson. Her grandchildren played a special role in her life, and all of them held a special place in her heart and prayers. She leaves five grandsons: Alexander Jabari Inabinet, LaVaris Antonio Inabinet, TraVonte Kentwan Keels, Norman Eli Curlee, II and Jonathan Elisha Curlee; four granddaughters: Kenya (Armondo) Smith, Whitney Janiece Keels, Danielle Nicole Keels and Normanda Elisha Curlee; three great-grandsons: Alexander Jabari Inabinet, II, Jaden Jones and Khyrie Lewis; and six great-granddaughters: Jayla Inabinet, Nadia Dunn, Keiana Smith, Ania Inabinet, Kellie Smith and BriellaRose Valentine. To remember her life, love and legacy, she leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free I’m following the path God has laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, or play, I found the peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undo grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee God wanted me now; He set me free.
