Single System – Junior Development Centres Nomination Process In order to nominate players from your School or club, please download the Nomination Form from the “Related Documents” section on the website and return the form to the email address included on the form. Please follow the instructions on the form to avoid complications, but if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our Single System Rep via email. Deadline for nominations will be the end of May so that we can ensure we will have information in before the School Holidays. JDC Sessions will be 6 sessions of 2 hours for U13-U17 Boys, and U13-15 Girls held at the following locations: Coventry - University of Warwick (U13s-U15s Boys & Girls) Rugby - Rugby School (U13 - U17 Boys, U13 - U15 Girls) Warwick - Warwick School / Kings High Pitches (U13 - U17 Boys, U13 - U15 Girls) Solihull: Silhillians - (U13 Boys & Girls, U16-U17 Boys) Hampton - (U14-U15 Boys & Girls) South Birmingham – King Edwards School, Birmingham (U13 – U14 Boys & Girls) U16 & U17 Girls will go straight through to JACs after Christmas without the need to attend JDC. However, All Players must still register on the EHB Player System (see below).
Please be aware of the following information when nominating players and passing information onto them: It is your responsibility to ensure they are aware of the details of the JDC sessions, and the associated details (see below) The first session being held at each JDC will be an assessment session, and some players may be informed that they will not be invited to attend the rest of the programme following that first date. However, if players cannot attend the first session this does NOT exclude them from taking part, as we can assess them at the first training session that they can make, so PLEASE nominate them anyway - it is important we get as many good players to these sessions as possible to continue to raise the standard of hockey in the County. Attendees, once they have been accepted for the full programme of coaching, will be asked to pay a subscription up front to support the subsidised costs of the coaching, pitches, and match costs plus players new to the programme will be offered the opportunity to purchase a heavily subsidised performance shirt. There is the possibility in some situations for installments rather than one lump sum, and also some financial aid is available for a limited number of players - the County would welcome your opinion on whether you believe this is a requirement or not. When nominating players, it is assumed that all players from your school/club will attend the same JDC (indicated by you on the nomination form). However, it is possible for players to attend other sessions if they are geographically more suitable, or other JDCs have more convenient times these though will be handled on an exception basis and must be discussed with Steve Tabb first.

All players MUST register on the EHB Player System website (www.ehbplayersystem.co.uk) and it is YOUR / THEIR responsibility (not Warwickshire Hockey) to ensure we have contact details by which we can contact them. Details will ALWAYS be posted on the website as well, just in case we do not get email addresses from people - so please encourage people to view the website on a regular basis. Please note - they DO NOT need to login at all - all details will be posted on the front page.
