Park Ridge Baseball-Softball Opening Day 2017 May 13, 2017 Please join us at Hinkley Park this Saturday to celebrate our Opening Day! The agenda is as follows: •

We will have races by league on Hinkley #2 with first-prize winner receiving a trophy! We will take the top 5 from the first heat and do a second race to determine the winner. Please register to run 15 minutes before your race time at Hinkley #2. Times for races will be: o Wildkit 12:15pm o Bobcat 12:25pm o Wildcat 12:35pm o Junior Girls 12:45pm o AA 12:55pm o AAA 1:05pm o PreTeen Girls 1:15pm. Face painters, a balloon artist and a baseball blow up will be available from 12-2pm. Concession will be available from 12pm-3pm. Former White Sox great Harold Baines and Southpaw the White Sox mascot will be at the field around 1:30pm for pictures and to shake hands! Harold will also have some signed photocards. Parade of Players will start at 2pm sharp (we will have games to get to, so we will try to stay right on schedule). LOOK FOR THE 8’ FEATHER FLAG WITH YOUR LEAGUE NAME ON IT AS THE INDICATOR FOR WHERE YOU SHOULD LINE UP WITH YOUR TEAM. We will be lining up outside of the fence in center-field of Hinkley #3 in order starting youngest to oldest (same order as the races above). After the parade, agenda includes: o Opening Remarks and Introductions o National Anthem o Awards for Sponsor of the Year and Volunteer of the Year o Harold Baines- Former White Sox player will speak. o First Pitch of the Season for Baseball and Softball will be thrown by Mayor Marty Maloney and our Volunteer of the Year recipient. o PRIZES!!!! Including several new bikes, new bats, new helmets, batting gloves, and other cool swag!! – *MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN* o Closing remarks--- let’s PLAY BALL!!!
