DRAFPARKING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 4022

A bylaw to amend parking regulations for townhouse and rowhouse uses ______________________________________________________________________________ The Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam enacts as follows: Citation 1.

This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as “Parking and Development Management Bylaw, 2005, No. 3525, Amendment Bylaw, 2017, No. 4022”.

Administration 2.

That the required spaces set out in Section 6, Required Off-Street Parking Spaces, be amended as follows: Residents: (iii) Townhouse Residential 1.5 per studio dwelling unit or dwelling unit with 1 bedroom 2.0 per dwelling unit with 2 or more bedrooms Visitors: 1 visitor space per 5 dwelling units

That Section 10, Parking Space Standards, be amended by replacing Subsection (c) with the following Subsection (c): (c)Access (i) Adequate provision shall be made for individual ingress or egress by vehicles to all parking spaces at all times by means of unobstructed maneuvering aisles. Maneuvering aisles of not less than the following widths shall be provided: Parking Angle in Degrees 90

Width of Aisle 7.5m, except the aisle width may be 6.5m if underground or in a building 5m 3.5m

Between 60 and 90 Less than 60

(ii) Tandem parking spaces are permitted to a maximum of 40% of the required resident parking spaces for townhouse residential and rowhouse residential uses. For the purposes of this section, a tandem parking space means a space for the parking of a vehicle either inside or outside a building or structure in an arrangement where one vehicle is located behind the other vehicle. 4022 1

That Section 10, subsection (e) be amended by adding “with the exception of parking spaces in the A zone and parking spaces for secondary suites or coach houses in RS zones”.

Read a first time by the Municipal Council this 8th day of May, 2017. Read a second time by the Municipal Council this 8th day of May, 2017. Read a third time by the Municipal Council this 8th day of May, 2017. Certified in accordance with the Bylaw authorizing the revision. Adopted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam this 23 rd day of May, 2017.
