Parkville Vikings Football and Cheer Welcome Letter Welcome to the Parkville Vikings 2017 football season! We are very excited that you have chosen the Vikings organization for your child’s youth football and cheer experience. This welcome letter provides you with the information needed to get the season started. The Vikings are members of the North Suburban Youth Football League (NSYFL). The NSYFL is made up of 9 teams located throughout North Kansas City, Parkville and Leavenworth. The tackle teams are allowed the following number of players for each team; 26 for 3-4 tackle, 32 for 5-6 tackle, and 32 for 7-8 tackle. There can be a maximum of 3 flag teams, each with 14 players, and we can have unlimited Cheerleaders. The league requires that all teams turn in their team rosters by August 12th. In the event we reach maximum numbers we may have players who do not make the team. These players will attend a “draft” and have the option of playing for another NSYFL team. It is important that you contact your head coach if they cannot make practice due to illness or emergency. School events will be greatly considered by the head coach and practices adjusted if necessary. Fees and Fundraising Requirements Through our NFL fundraising raffle event, you have the opportunity to off-set out of pocket expense. There are three options available: Tackle Option 1 - $320 cash/check/credit card option (0 tickets sales required) Option 2 –NFL Ticket Raffle - 20 tickets (minimum)/per player Option 3 – Secure a corporate sponsorship $500 athlete/$1000 for family Flag/Cheer Option 1 - $140 cash/check/credit card option (0 tickets sales required) Option 2 –NFL Ticket Raffle - 10 tickets (minimum)/per athlete Option 3 – Secure a corporate sponsorship $500 athlete/$1000 for family

Practice Locations All practices will be held at Plaza Middle School. As a reminder, the league does not allow anyone on the fields except coaches and players. This means that all parents and others watching practice should do so from the same viewing area as if we were having a game.
