Parts & Service Communicator Subject: Flomatic Valve with Gauges - Part Number 5013766 SCOPE: Manitowoc Beverage Systems has introduced a Testing Kit that allows you to test the water, and syrup pressure at the point they enter a beverage dispensing valve. This kit shows the pressure of each, as to determine weather or not adequate pressures are present at the valve flow controls. Adequate water and syrup pressures are important in setting flow rates and brix levels (water to syrup ratio) of a finished beverage product. The Kit complete with gauges, is a Flomatic push button style valve that is equipped with two gauges for reading pressures. The bottom of the flow control base is equipped with two fittings where the tubing and gauges are attached. (See Figure 1) This valve can be installed on any beverage dispenser that is equipped with Flomatic valves. The Part # for the kit is 5013766. NOTE: If the pressure at a valve location is below the minimum pressure requirements for the beverage valve being used, this valve can help determine weather or not there is a cold plate restriction, or if a simple pressure adjustment is needed. Please see instructions included with valve for minimum and maximum pressure requirements for Flomatic Beverage valves. Figure 2 shows the Flomatic Valve with Gauges installed on a Servend Internal Carb dispenser. The gauge on the left shows the water pressure, and the gauge on the right shows the syrup pressure.
