Instructions to complete “Passionate About Purple” earrings: Tip See second page for diagram of the pattern. Step 1 Thread a needle with approximately 3 feet of beading thread, and wax the thread. String three transparent luster garnet Delica beads. Tie the tail and working thread into a square knot, forming a tight circle with the three beads. Step 2 Exiting any bead in the circle, pick up one transparent luster garnet Delica bead, and pass through the next bead in the initial circle. Repeat this step twice, adding one bead between every two beads in the initial circle. Exit the first bead added in this step. Step 3 String one metallic rainbow dark berry Delica bead, and pass back through the same Delica exited at the end of the Step 2. Then pass back through the Delica added at the beginning of this step; pull tight. Step 4 String four metallic rainbow dark berry Delica beads, and pass through the next Delica bead added in Step 2. Pass back through the last Delica bead added in this step. Step 5 Repeat Step 4 twice. Step 6 String one hole of one Tila bead, two transparent luster garnet Delica beads, and one hole of a second Tila bead. Pass through the next Delica bead in the outer circle formed in Steps 3 – 5. Pull tight. Step 7 String the second hole of the second Tila bead used in Step 6, one transparent luster garnet Delica, and the first hole of the same Tila bead. Pass through the same Delica bead in the outer circle used at the end of Step 6. Pull tight. The Delica bead will sit over the two Tila bead holes. Pass through the next Delica bead in the outer circle formed in Steps 3 – 5. Pull tight. Step 8 Repeat the pattern established in Steps 6 – 7 around the circle. Step 9 Exit from any transparent luster garnet Delica bead in the outer circle formed in Steps 7 – 8. String nine transparent luster garnet Delica beads and the loop on one ear wire (the loop will float over the Delica beads). Pass back through the same Delica bead exited at the beginning of this step, forming a tight ring. Reinforce the ring. Step 10 Weave the needle back and forth through several beads to reinforce. Trim the thread close to the work. Step 11 Thread a needle onto the beginning tail, and weave back and forth through beads to reinforce. Trim the tail thread close to the work. Step 12 Repeat Steps 1 – 11 for the second earring.
