Patches The Puppy Patches the Puppy: Total Piece requirements

Step 1: Cut squares and rectangles out of selected cotton fabrics Arrange them on your project board according to the diagrams below until you are happy with the look of each side of your puppy.

Step 5: Sew on button eyes or use fabric if choking is a concern Step 2: Sew your Puppy together in vertical strips as shown below. Both sides

Step 6: Use remaining 27 squares and sew together into one long strop. Starrting at the puppys fromnt armpit, sew the strip to the outer dge of each puppy at 1/4”. Both sides

Step 3: Sew the vertical strips to each other, both sides

Step 4: Place the fabric ears right sides together and then place the batting on top of that. Sew around the long curving edge at 1/4”. Leave straight edge open.. Trim seam allowance off batting, flip the ear to the right sides of the fabric, press and topstitch at 1/4”. Place on the back most square on the top of the pupp's head so that the edge of the ear is at least 1/2 “ from the raw edge of the puppys neck, but the straight edge is alighned with the top of the puppys head, baste in place.

Step 7: Flip the puppy right side out and stuff with stuffing. Use a needle and thread to close up remaining opening under front leg.
