POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Pawling Middle School Principal leads a faculty and staff of 40 teachers and other educators at the only middle school (5-8) in a district of 1100 students. The Principal is supported by a district level administrative team and a shared Assistant Principal. Situated in the beautiful and historic Hudson Valley, Pawling CSD is bisected by the Appalachian Trail and benefits from a supportive community that values public schools. Pawling offers easy commuter rail access to the best New York City has to offer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have:
Experience and knowledge in the differentiation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment to improve student achievement and personalize learning Proven ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, students, and community members A deep personal commitment to the success of all students and a willingness to advance a program that will achieve equity of access for all students and families Proven ability to motivate staff and students to excellence Distinguished record as an innovative middle school teacher and/or leader Excellent organization, verbal, and written communication skills Experience in the use of data to improve instruction and the school program Valid New York State Administrative Certification
